This is a highly personal and nakedly honest song about my relationship with recorded/live music. The phrase “I Am A Radio” came to me while on tour in 2018 and I’ve been trying to put it into a song ever since. A good live show is one of my all time favourite things, but at my level, for every good show, there are several poorly attended, low energy shows. They make you question what you’re doing and whether it’s worth it. Having gone on a hiatus from touring my solo show, this gave me the perfect opportunity to find a way of getting this elusive phrase in a song.
