about

I have an innate desire for social commentary, and lyrically this song scratches that itch, and then some. In a time of drastic uncertainty, I think there’s a widespread desire to be reassured that everything will be alright in the end. There has been such division between people in recent years, and all sides have been guilty of spreading misinformation, but sometimes we just need some gentle comfort. The “Revelation Games” line, which gives the album its title, is a suggestion that perhaps there is a tendency (in the media, and in people in general) to make everything more dramatic than it needs to be, and forever be declaring “The end is nigh”.

lyrics

Tell me it’s all ok
Tell me it’s all ok
It’s time to stop the ride.
We’re all trapped inside
Overcome again, suffering and pain
Swim against the tide of ignorance and lies
A whisper on the breeze to reassure me please
Tell me it’s all ok
We’ll see another day
I want you to tell me it’s all ok
Tell me it’s all ok
Hate is on the rise, hits you in disguise
Take me to a place where I can quit the race
Now blood is in the sky and fear is in your eyes
It’s burning in the flames of these revelation games
Tell me it’s all ok
We’ll see another day
I want you to tell me it’s all ok
Tell me it’s all ok
Tell me it’s all ok
We’ll see another day
I want you to tell me it’s all ok
Tell me it’s all ok
